Lois A. Baker
Lois A. Baker, 83, of Trafford, died Friday, May 28, 2004, in Cedars of Monroeville. She was born Dec. 8, 1920, in Fort Collins, Colo., the daughter of the late Miles S. and Daisey Dean King. Prior to retirement, Lois was a school teacher for the Penn-Trafford School District for 20 years and the librarian for the Trafford Community Public Library with 27 years of faithful service. Lois also was a member and past deacon of the former Faith United Presbyterian Church, Trafford, past president of the former Trafford Women's Club and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Corinth Chapter #229, Pitcairn. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Newton C. Baker, in February 2000. She is survived by a son, James Baker and wife, Janis, of Level Green; nieces and nephews, Ruth Ann Wells, Karen Sue Laws, David Baker and Don Corcoran; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received at the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 602 Seventh St. (Route 130), Trafford, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Carlisle V. Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Lois? name to the Trafford Community Public Library, P.O. Box 173, Trafford, PA 15085.
