Daniel Barclay April 2, 1931 - September 26, 2016 PAUL - Daniel Barclay, age 85, of Paul, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at his son's home in Nampa. He was born April 2, 1931, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the third child of William Douglas and Rhoda Adeline Barclay. The family moved to Paul while Daniel was still young. He lived in Paul until the age of 17. On Sept. 20, 1948, he married the love of his life, Enna Jo Young, in Burley, which marriage was solemnized in the Logan Utah Temple on Apr. 2, 1963. From Paul, he and his bride moved to Pocatello, where they raised their four sons and remained until 1971. While in Pocatello, Daniel attended Idaho State University and then became a welder by profession, a career which he enjoyed immensely. His dear wife, Enna Jo, died Feb. 23, 2005. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Enna Jo, served as missionaries in the Columbia, South Carolina Mission from 1997 to 1998. Daniel is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel W. and Mary Ann Barclay of Boise, Dave and Sue Barclay of Nampa, Michael and Susan Barclay of Manti, Utah, and Martin and Judy Barclay of Paul; his sister, Janet Peterson of Shafter, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and two brothers, Jack and Scott Barclay. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 3, in the Paul LDS Stake Center, 424 West Ellis Ave., with Bishop Kerry Sanford officiating. Burial will follow in the Paul Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, October 2, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. preceding the services at the church.
