In memory of
Daniel James Wagner
Daniel James Wagner, 62, of Pipersville, passed away at Doylestown Hospital on August 6th, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Helen, and survived by his wife Colette, sons Ryan (wife Elizabeth), Marc (wife Kelly), and Andrew (significant other Paloma), brothers Albert (wife Kathleen) and Jeffrey (wife Maria), sister Elizabeth Ann Elgin (husband Robert), sixteen beloved nieces and nephews, extended family, dear friends, and two dogs (Piper and Cooper). Dan's enormous personality, unconditional generosity, and true gift for storytelling will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Dan loved cycling and rode in many charity rides, raising thousands of dollars for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the ALS Association, American Cancer Society, and the Families of Fallen Officers and Firefighters. He also loved the little things in life, whether it was telling a story, taking care of his dogs, or simply a good conversation. A devotee of sports, Dan not only starred as a running back for Bishop Kenrick High School and Temple University, but later mentored his three sons and countless others as a coach of baseball, basketball, and football. He worked hard to provide for his family and friends, and was blessed with a job he loved, as an architectural representative for Schluter Systems. He was a loving husband and father, a loyal friend, and never missed a chance to express his love and pride in both family and friends. It never took much to feel the effect of his contagious smile or laugh, and Dan's lasting memory will continue to live in our hearts and guide us through our life journey. Relatives and friends are invited to Dan's Life Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 at St. Helena Roman Catholic Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell PA, 19422 from 9:00-11:50 a.m. followed by his Memorial Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Team Boathouse in the 2016 Bike MS; City to Shore Ride (https://secure.nationalmssociety.org/site/SPageServer/?pagename=BIKE_HOM_donate&fr_id=27061) or to the United Service Organization (USO).
