Paul Francis Quinn, 74, of Jacksonville died Monday May 9, 2016 at the Naval Hospital, Camp Lejeune. Mr. Quinn was born Feb 13, 1942 in Scranton, PA to the late Edwin and Marie Scheigg Quinn and attended school at Saint Mary's of the Assumption High School. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corp and served 21 years & retired as a Captain (LDO). He then worked as the MCCS Director at MCAS, New River & retired after 20 years of civil service. Paul enjoyed coaching basketball for the Special Olympics North Carolina athletes. He also enjoyed and was very competitive in softball and tennis. Funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday May 13, 2016 at Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Jacksonville with Reverend Jeffery Bowker officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville. Surviving his wife Laura B. Quinn of the home. Two daughters, Cortney Quinn of the home & Debbie Schulz of Scranton, PA. One son, Paul F. Quinn, Jr. of Scranton, Pa. One sister, Linda Quinn DeSanto of Clarks Summit, PA; two brothers, William Quinn and his wife Karen of Roaring Brook Twp, PA; Edwin Quinn, Jr. and his wife Jean of Covington Twp, PA. Four brothers-in-laws; Steven Berman & wife Judy of Virginia Beach, VA; Kenneth Berman & wife Cindy of Fort Myers, FL; Dennis Berman & wife Linda of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; and Wayne Berman & wife Kathy of Napoleon, OH. Also surviving are many loving & caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, 303 Chaney Ave Jacksonville.
