Shirley A. Biederman
Shirley A. Biederman Shirley Ann Biederman, age 78, of Fair Hill, MD, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Born in Fort Payne, AL, on January 2, 1936, she was one of two children born to the late William Foster and Dorothy Foster Lowe. Mrs. Biederman retired as a cashier in retail sales. She resided at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center for the past 5 years, where she enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her friends and the Calvert Manor family. Mrs. Biederman loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing the piano, traveling and watching cooking shows. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 40 years. Mrs. Biederman will be remembered as a caring person who opened her home and heart to anyone in need. Survivors include her children, Deborah Jianniney and husband, James, Donald Biederman, Jr., Thomas Biederman and wife, Vicki, Trina Biederman and Aimee Walther and husband, Robert, Jr.; brother, David Foster; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Biederman was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald H. Biederman, Sr. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2014, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE, will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvert Manor Nursing Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home.
