Etta Caldwell Pearson, 80 of Gretna, Louisiana, formally of Dyer County, Tennessee, died on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Joellen Living Center in Algiers, Louisiana. Born May 6, 1932, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Sadie Anderson Pursell. Mrs. Pearson was a homemaker and member of the Newbern First United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be 12 Noon, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Newbern First United Methodist Church. Officiating this service will be Rev. Lea Thornton. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM until service time at the Newbern First United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Mark Caldwell of Nashville, Tennessee; three daughters, Sherry Caldwell of New Orleans, Louisiana, Dana Caldwell Pennington of Halls, Tennessee and Janet Caldwell Kratzberg of New Orleans, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Harold L. Caldwell, her husband of fifty three, and Billy G. Pearson and a daughter, Marsha Caldwell Borden. The family has asked that memorials be directed to the Newbern First United Methodist Church, P.O.
