Dolores Leona (VanSickle) Smith, age 82, passed away at 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at St. Paul Homes, Greenville, Pa. She was born in Friendsville, Maryland, on May 23, 1933, to parents, John and Sarah (Harden) VanSickle She was married to Richard E. Smith Sr. on September 10, 1951, and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2015. Dolores graduated as Valedictorian from Hadley High School in 1951 She was a member of Clarks Mills United Methodist Church for 66 years. She enjoyed her family, sewing, knitting, baking, playing Scrabble with her friends, and listening to music, and she was a good neighbor to all. Her family includes sons, Richard E. Smith. Jr. and his wife Sharon and Randall Smith, daughters, Melody Brown and Heidi Kinney and her husband Mark, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private family funeral service will be held, per Dolores' wishes Arrangements are with Andrew J. Vana Funeral Home, 102 Church St., Hadley.
