Donald L. Bowen (Hill) was born in New Eagle on May 17, 1934, and died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, in Mississippi. Donald was a food safety specialist in manufacturing for 40 years and moved from Donora to Water Valley, Miss., in 1989. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Kathleen Hermann Bowen; two sons, Donald Lee (Connie) and Charles Joseph (Angela); and three daughters, Carol Kay Bowen-Chadwick (Douglas), Debbie Lynn Bowen-Yates (Brian) and Kimberly Dawn Bowen-Tucker (Darrell); 19 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carole Bowen (Hill) Fazzini, of Donora. He was predeceased by his biological parents, Lucille Kern McGervey and Edward Bowen; and grandparents, Joseph Reese Hill and Edith Kern Hill.
