Emily F. Clark
Emily F. Clark, 87, of Wyano, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, of pancreatic cancer, in her daughter's home on Lady's Island, S.C. Mrs. Clark was born in Wyano, March 15, 1927, to the late Oscar W. and Margaret May Krieger. She had six brothers, one of whom was a twin. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ken, Jim, Roy, Melvin, Ralph and her twin brother, Clarence. Her husband of 59 years, retired Master Gunnery Sgt. Dallas R. Clark, a 30-year Marine, preceded her in death in 2009 in Hernando, Fla. She was an active member of Grays Hill Baptist Church in Beaufort, S.C., and, while living in Hernando, Fla., she and her husband were active members of the Hernando Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl J. Hamm and husband, Ellis, of Lady's Island, S.C.; her son, Thomas D. Clark and wife, Cindy, of Wildwood, Fla.; two granddaughters, Emmie Hamm Dilsaver and husband, Ryan, and Ashley Hamm, all of Lady's Island, S.C.; two great-grandsons, Carter Dilsaver and Darby Cooper Hamm; one brother-in-law, Roger Clark, of Wyano; and many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to her Sanctuary Hospice team who lovingly cared for her and her family. God Bless all who cared for her. Mrs. Clark has been laid to rest with her husband in the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C.
