MARJORIE "MARJIE" ELIZABETH SHADEL ANDERSON October 13, 1941 ~ February 24, 2015 Marjorie Elizabeth Shadel Anderson, 73, died Feb. 24th, 2015 in Vancouver. She was born Oct. 13, 1941 in Vancouver, WA to William and Olive Shadel. She graduated from Camas High School and participated in a variety of clubs. Marjie was active on the Rally Squad, was on the Prom court and was very involved in the Future Nurses club, to name just a few. She said her favorite "subject" was being social. Marjie started pre-nursing at Linfield University but after 1 year, transferred to Central Washington University to be with Jerry. She finished her nursing degree at Clark College in Vancouver in 1963. Four days after taking her state board nursing exams, she married Jerry at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas, WA. Marjie spent her adult years as a loving mother, Bible study leader, volunteer and director of the Camas-Washougal Community Pregnancy Clinic (now Pathways). Marjie is survived by her cuddly husband of 52 years, Jerry S. Anderson; son, Rob W. Anderson (wife Jill); daughters, Kathleen S. Tingwall (husband Steve) and Peggy L. Anderson-Deardorff (husband Chris); and six grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Fri., March 6th at 11:30 a.m., at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas. A light reception will follow.
