SMITHSHIRE - Joyce A. Hunter, 73, of Smithshire, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, in Roseville. She was born Dec. 8, 1941, in Macomb, the daughter of Harold and Anna Mary Ross Ruble. She married Eugene R. Hunter on March 26, 1966. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2010. She is survived by two daughters, Amy Hunter of Florida and Tina (Chance) Hunter of Smithshire; one son, Bill (Tondi) Hunter of Roseville; five grandchildren, Chad, Delaney, Kenny, Graison, and Chance; one great-grandson, Bryson Tyler; and one sister, Lois Marie (Jerry) Schisler of Roseville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister; one son, Kenneth; and one grandson, Caleb. She graduated from Roseville High School in 1960, and attended Gem City Business College in Quincy for two years. She was a C.N.A. and a L.P.N. at the LaMoine Christian Nursing Home in Roseville. She was a cook at Country Fun in Biggsville, Smolers in Monmouth, and Tasty Grill in Roseville. A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015, at Hoover Hall Funeral Home, with visitation from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Compasses and/or Roseville Ambulance Service. Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home is in charge of the service.
