Kathryn Hamer Evansville, Ind. Kathryn D. Hamer, age 59, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at her home. She was born Mary 1, 1955, in Evansville. Kathy had worked for Sodexo at the University of Southern Indiana and also for Fischer Candy. She loved her family greatly, especially her grandsons. She had a strong faith in God and loved her church family at Salem United Methodist. She also loved the Beatles and any music from the 60's or 70s. Kathy was a 1973 graduate of Harrison High School, a member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Riverbend Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving Kathy are her mother, Sue (Harper) Tevault; her husband, Steve Hamer; son, Christopher (Michelle) Hamer; daughter, Emily (Chawn) Hamer; grandsons, Brady Hamer and Adrian Alexander; sister, Jennifer Walden; and brothers, David (Tim) Tevault, Doug (Misty) Tevault and John (Tammy) Tevault. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Elliott; stepfather, Wayne Tevault; and sister, Karen Vinson. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Salem United Methodist Church, 6311 Kratzville Road, Evansville, IN, Pastor Randy Anderson officiating.
