Douglas Leroy Spratt
Douglas Leroy Spratt, 56, of Clarington, died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at home with his family. He was born March 17, 1958 in Brookville, a son of the late Jack Leroy Spratt and Charlotte Lillian (Cassatt) Spratt who survives and resides in Brookville. He was a member of the Clarington United Methodist Church. Doug worked as a job site superintendent in construction and was also a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and collected antique tractors. His biggest enjoyment was his family and grandchildren. He proudly raised four grandchildren, Cody Confer, Fredrick Spratt, Joshua Cook and Jesse Wayne. He was a big hearted man that was considered "Everybody's Pap." In addition to his mother Charlotte, he is survived by four daughters, Sandra Klingensmith of Ligonier; Jessica Spratt of DuBois; Erin Milk and husband Kevin of Brookville; Amy Ford and husband Rocco of Brockway; one son William Confer, Jr. of Clarington; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, William Littlefield and wife Tish of Brookville; Colen "Pete" Spratt and wife Diane of Sigel; one sister Tina Moore and husband Robert of Clarington; his former wife, Theresa (Cook) Spratt of Clarington; his aunt Loraine Rossey of Clarington and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his dad, a son Alvin Confer; and one sister Juanita Littlefield. Friends were received Friday, November 14, 2014 at Brenda D.
