Jack Carrigg June 14, 1925-Aug.4,2014 Jack Carrigg 1925-2014 SF Beat Generation Artist JACK CARRIGG Passed 8/4/14 in Olympia WA at the age of 89. Youngest and last of 3 brothers, Tom and Bob. Jack is survived by son Jack Jr. and his 3 children, 8 great grand kids, 2 great great grand kids, and son Sono, his 2 children, and 1 great grand child. Jack's wife of 50 years Lucille preceded him in 2007. He and Lucille left the Fire House in Haight Ashbury, moved and built a home in Willits in the 70s where he painted, played music, and worked part time as a carpenter. He and Lucille loved the pottery classes they took through the 80s and the gardens they grew each year. After Lucille passed, he moved to Olympia WA in 2009 where he met Claire Lindsay who cared for him during his last years. Jack continued painting into his last year returning more to the art style he was known for and that his friend Jack Van Hiel (and fellow vegetarian) sponsored through The Triangle Gallery.
