CHESTNUT Charlene Valerie, 88, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 in Lake Mary, FL. She died peacefully at her home in Oakmonte Village. Charlene was born on February 27, 1926 in Coffeyville, Kansas and raised her family in Dumont, New Jersey before relocating to Florida in 1975 with her beloved husband, John. She lived in Port St. Lucie, FL and made many friends throughout the years. Charlene is preceded in death by her husband John, to whom she was married for 69 years, and her son Michael. She is survived by daughters Sharon Sacks, husband Michael; Susan Gartenberg, husband Alan; Kathleen Berger, husband Michael; and Patricia Zingarell, husband Bob; granddaughters Laurenn, Greer, Sylvie and Jessica and great grandchildren William, Charles, Richard, Madline, Brett, Payne and Madelyn. Also surviving Charlene is her cousin Ruth Elliott and Ruth's daughters Sue Staudt and Connie Cox residing in Coffeyville, Kansas. A celebration of Charlene's life will be held on June 17 at Oakmonte Village in Lake Mary, FL.
