Nancy Joy Ahlrich Foard, 78 Nancy Joy Ahlrich Foard, 78 of Page, Arizona passed away unexpectedly Feb 1, 2014 in the Flagstaff, Arizona hospital ICU. Nancy was born Dec 27, 1935 in Lafayette the daughter of Alva Leon and Jenna Kidwell Ahlrich. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1953, and later attended Glendale Community College in Glendale, AZ to become a librarian. She married Robert E Foard Oct 5, 1953. She worked many years at B Dalton bookstore and in the library of Royal Palms Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ, where she was a member. Physically disabled since multiple brain surgeries in 1991-1992, she remained mentally astute with a generous, uncomplaining, loving nature throughout her entire life. Her prime desire was to always be cheerful and help others. She enjoyed traveling, reading, listening to traditional country music, and visiting with family and friends. When living in Lancaster, CA, she opened her home to provide emergency child care for the Los Angeles County temporary foster program. Nancy parted this life in the embrace of her husband of 60 years, with loving family at her side, to the sound of her favorite traveling music, Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again". Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend! She is survived by husband, Robert Foard of Page, AZ; 3 daughters, Rebecca Kay Bohlen (Forrest) of Santiago, Chile, Bonnie Jean Daugherty (Kevin) of Page, AZ, Angela Lynn Taylor of Phoenix, AZ; 3 sisters, Marje Reynolds (Ron) of Elkhart, Judy Danaher (John) of Elkhart, and Phyllis Fleming of Broomfield, CO.; 6 grandchildren, David Hardy, Melissa Daugherty, Rachael Johnson, Megan Hibbard, Sarah Parker, and Kate Sumners; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Maya, Taylor, Addie, and Lola. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Ahlrich Foard; brother, Marion Richard (Mary Ellen); sister, Kay Scott A Celebration of Life will be held May 10, 2014 at 300 Sandhill Road, Page, AZ. Graveside Memorial Service May 12, 2014 11:00AM (MT), Pastor Forrest Bohlen presiding, Paradise Memorial Gardens; 9300 E Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ.
