Sandy Hesselbart Hobson —62 died Thursday afternoon at Benefis Health System in Great Falls after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer. She was born March 27, 1951 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas the daughter of Clarence and Jessie (Craft) Joslin. She received her education in Arkansas and Montana graduating from Hobson High School and graduated from Business College in Olympia, Washington. She then worked in Washington for the Olympia Brewery, U.S. Department of Defense and U. S. Department of Agriculture. On March 18, 1977 she was united in marriage to Bill Hesselbart in Coeur d'Alene, ID. They continued living in Washington until their retirement in 1999 when they returned to Montana, living briefly in Moccasin moving to Hobson in 2001. Sandy loved life and her cats, enjoyed gardening, landscaping and cook outs in the Little Belt Mountains. She is survived by her husband Bill of Hobson; daughter Shauna Deckert of Bozeman, MT; step-daughter LuAnn (Kent) Unhjem of Crosby, ND, step-son Matt (Miriam) Hesselbart of Winnipeg, Canada; sister Nell Thompson of Moore, MT, brother Buddy (Robin) Joslin in Wisconsin, sister-in-law Sandra Hesselbart of Crosby, ND; seven step-grandchildren Nicole (Rodney), Marissa (Dustin), Caitlyn, Lexie, Justine, Ryan and Austin and 2 step-great grandchildren Elydie and Pax and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Joslin and sister Ruby Robertson. At her request no Services will be held at this time for Sandy Hesselbart, cremation has taken place. The Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family. A Celebration of Life may be held at a later time.
