Kostyshak, Daniel of Vestal: Daniel Kostyshak, 53, passed away at Lourdes Hospital on Sunday September 2, 2012 after a brief illness. Daniel was predeceased by his mother (Geraldine Kostyshak) and his wife (Rhonda Hillhouse Kostyshak). He is survived by his father Edward Kostyshak of Binghamton, his brother William Kostyshak of Rochester, NY, and his sister Daria Brown of McLean, VA. Daniel grew up in Dearborn Heights, MI and was a graduate of the United States Military Academy class of 1980. During his service in the United States Army, he earned the expert infantryman badge, parachutist badge, air assault badge and ranger tab before retiring with the rank of Captain. Upon leaving military service, Daniel attained an MBA from the University of South Carolina and a Masters in Information Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He opened his own Marketing and Advertising Consulting company "Kostyshak and Associates" in the Binghamton area where he continued to work up to his hospitalization. The family wishes to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospital Intensive Care Unit and the Danielle House for their compassionate care during this difficult time. Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
