SMITHSHIRE - Louise E. Booth, 90, Smithshire, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at home. She was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Hale Township, the daughter of Chester and May Irene Miller Carlson. She married Roy D. Booth on Jan. 20 1947, at her parent's home in Kirkwood. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1984. She is survived by one daughter Janet Lea (Wayne) Hull of Smithshire; her bird, Georgia; many nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one baby daughter, five brothers, and two sisters. She attended many different rural schools. She worked as a cook at Media Weaver High School for many years, and baby-sat as well. She was devoted to her family and loved each and every one. She was a member of the Smithshire Methodist Church. She enjoyed going to the café in the morning for coffee. She also enjoyed family reunions that she would normally head up. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Corman Memorial Home. Burial will be in the Ellison Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice.
