In memory of
Dr. Robert William "Bob" Mulvihill
MULVIHILL, DR. ROBERT WILLIAM "BOB" April 11, 1936 - May 21, 2012 Loving husband, wonderful father, excellent papa, even a great papa! Bob was born in Chicago to Dorothy Spring and Stewart P. Mulvihill. He graduated from High school at 16, went to Kalamazoo College where he met and married RoxieLou Linderman whom he would adore the rest of his life. He attended Western Michigan University and graduated from the University of Detroit with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He served his country in the US Navy. Bob and Roxie have four children Scott, Casey, Sean, and Nathanael. He also leaves a brother, three daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, eight grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. Bob was a dentist in Marcellus, MI for 11 years then moved to Jackson, MI and was a dentist for the prison system until he retired - HA! Bob earned his living as a dentist, sidelined as a travel planner and gourmet cook, but actually lived his life in the roles of a lifetime - as hundreds of productions cast him as their leading man. He performed in dozens of theaters. Bob and Roxie have portrayed General Ulysses and Julia Grant for 20 years. Bob sang with three barbershop choruses simultaneously and many quartets. He was a member of The United Methodist Church and of course, their choirs. He was a volunteer for Allegiance Health - a job he loved. Bob touched the lives of tens of thousands. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. Bob died in his home under Hospice care after falling April 19th, suffering a blunt force blow to his head. The cause of death was accidental. The family would like to thank Allegiance Health and Hospice for their excellent care. There will be a memorial service later this summer. Affordable Memorial Services 715 E.
