Larry Dean Peha
Passed away on February 19, 2012 in Davenport, Washington. He was born on May 12, 1944 in Wilbur, WA to Ludwig and Dorothy (Dietrich) Peha. Larry attended school in Almira, graduating from Almira High School in 1962. He married Marjorie Evelyn Kruger in Almira, Washington on June 19, 1965. Larry was a wheat farmer and had been farming the family farm. Larry is survived by his wife, Marjorie, at the home in Almira, four sons: Loren Peha and Lisa of Almira, WA, Darren Peha and Tonja of Spokane, WA, Ryan Peha and Deborah of Almira, WA, and Chris-Allan Peha and Jennifer of Walla Walla, WA; 11 grandchildren and one great grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Dorothy Peha. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, past member of Almira Lions Club and served a term as Zone Chairman, Past 7th degree member of Highland Grange, Past Lincoln Mutual #1 board member, and was a member of the Almira Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, shooting and other outdoor activities. He made radio controlled airplanes for several years. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilbur Lutheran Church, Wilbur, WA with Pastor Mike Nelson officiating. Memorials may be made to the Almira Fire Department, Lincoln Hospital Foundation, or to the donor's choice. Strate Funeral Home, Wilbur, WA is caring for the family.
