MCGRAIL, MATT 53 - of West Cape May passed away on January 22, 2012. Born in SanDiego, CA, Matt was a resident of Cinnaminson before moving to Cape May in 1978. He owned and operated Cape May Carpentry, a construction business which he started in 1980 and since that time he has left his distinguishable mark through his craftsmanship on many beautiful homes in the Cape May area. Matt most enjoyed working on antique cars and playing practical jokes on his friends, but most of all weekends spent with his boys having Shirley Temples at the Pilot House, putt-putt golf at Jimbo's, candy at the Fudge Kitchen and buying Cape May trinkets at Shark Bait. His family was his finest work of art. He is predeceased by his father, Arthur McGrail and two brothers, Michael and Mark McGrail. Matt will be missed by his loving family which includes his wife of 17 years, Susan; three children, Max, Mason and Trey McGrail; his mother, Gloria McGrail; one sister, Maureen (and Richard) Flihse and his two brothers, Morgan (and Lynn) McGrail and Martin McGrail. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (January 26th) at 2pm in the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May where friends will be received from 11am - 2pm. Interment will follow his funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the McGrail Children Education Fund, c/o Sturdy Savings Bank, 701 Washington St., Cape May, NJ 08204.
