Jerry L. Stuart
Jerry L. Stuart Folsomville Indiana Jerry L. Stuart, 76, passed away Thursday morning at the VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville IN. Jerry retired from Alcoa in 2005 after 45 years. He had a genuine interest in his small community and was instrumental in getting a Fire Department for Folsomville. Jerry was very active in the Democrat Party and began by serving on the Owen Township Advisory Board. This was followed by serving as Owen Township Trustee, Warrick County Council and Warrick County Commissioner. Jerry loved hunting, yard sales and collecting antiques. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his smile. His true love was spending time with his family. He attended the First Christian Church in Boonville. Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hilda Ann (Huffman); one daughter, Roxie Powell and one son, Robin (Ann), both of Boonville IN; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Sarah Stuart and Season Burns; one great grandchild, Tailyn Star Tinsley, whom he "adored"; one sister, Patty Gehlhausen; two brothers, Roger Hart and David Stuart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Georgia Stuart, two sisters, Nancy Stoneman and Sharon Muffley. Services for Jerry will be held at 2 pm, Monday, January 16, 2012 from Bradley's Colonial Chapel in Boonville with burial in the Folsomville Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm, Sunday and from 10 am until service time Monday at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Jerry may be made to the VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.
