Patterson Melva J. Patterson, age 69, was called to be with the Lord on October 23, 2011. She was born November of 1941, in Pasadena Texas. She is survived by her husband, Frank Patterson and children, Debra Latham, husband (James) of Kingwood, TX, Dayna Patterson of Houston, and grandchildren Jeffrey and Gregory Latham. Melva was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a loving and caring woman who devoted her life to God. Melva never complained and thought of others before herself touching those she met with her gentle loving spirit. Her beauty radiated inside and out and will always live within our hearts. She was our angel and hero. Funeral services are scheduled at 3 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in the chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with Pastor O C Bates of O C Bates Ministries officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25th between 6-8 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home. Burial will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
