Earl H. Colson Jr.
Earl H. Colson Jr., 90, of Ellensburg died at a local hospital on January 26, 2011. Earl was born to Earl H. Colson Sr. and Margaret (Ross) Colson on July 26, 1920, in Chehalis, WA. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and moved to the Kittitas Valley from Wapato in 1966. He and his wife Jean later settled on a ranch in Kittitas where he and Michael were partners raising Angus cattle. Earl loved his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and ranching. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Williams) Colson in 2002 and is survived by his son Michael E. ( Sandy) Colson; grandson, Justin Michael (Nicole) Colson of Boston, MA; step grandchildren, Patrick Podgorny of Lynnwood, WA, and Samantha Richards of Sugar Hills, GA. Private graveside services will be held under the care of Steward & Williams Tribute Center. Memorials are suggested to the Kittitas Valley Community Hospital Foundation.
