In Loving Memory of Helen P. Dalesandro
DALESANDRO, HELEN PIGOTT DALESANDRO, HELEN PIGOTT, age 72, of Hoover, passed away Thursday morning, September 30, 2010. She was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on November 21, 1937. One of her greatest joys was her family, and she was loved so much by her two daughters and five grandchildren. She also found great joy in her active membership at Riverchase Baptist Church in Hoover, with a special love for her Sunday school class and Pastor Jeff Greer. A graduate of Jasper High School and Samford University, Helen served in Washington, D.C., in the offices of U.S. Senator Carl Elliot and U.S. Representative Bob Jones for 10 years in the 1960s. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Beulah Pigott, and a sister, Joyce P. Ivey of Jasper. Survivors include Helen's husband, Anthony Dalesandro of Hoover; their two daughters, Amy McCarty (Kevin) of Acworth, Georgia, and Elizabeth Robson (Kevin) of Fairhope; grandchildren, William McCarty, Isabella McCarty, Parker Robson, Patrick Robson, and Townes Robson; sister, Peggy P. Bowling of Franklin, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews; and numerous special friends. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2010 at Riverchase Baptist Church in Hoover, with the 11 a.m. funeral service immediately following in the church's sanctuary. Burial will be in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. The family expresses many thanks to the physicians and staff of Brookwood Medical Center in Homewood for their wonderful care.
