November 2, 1916 November 17, 2009 - Age 93 Dorothy K. Merrill died peacefully after a long and happy life. Born in St. Paul, Dorothy was a 40 year resident of Woodbury, most recently at Stonecrest, a Presbyterian Home in Woodbury. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Matilda Kadas; her husband Stanley Merrill; a sister Ellen McGee and a brother Charles, Jr. She is survived by her sister Della Ridley of Maine and a nephew. Dorothy will be missed by her many devoted friends. Dorothy was a baker, a master seamstress, an accomplished blackjack player and a philanthropist. She developed a special relationship with Sun Country Airlines as one if its first customers and a frequent traveler. She never flew without homemade candy for the flight crew. The outstanding care by the staffs of Stonecrest Assisted Living and HealthEast Hospice added meaning and comfort to Dorothy's last years. A memorial celebration will be held at the Stonecrest Chapel on Monday, November 23, at 1:00 p.m. Stonecrest is located at 8725 Promenade Lane; Woodbury, Minnesota. Wulff Woodbury 651-738-9615
