Louisa Marcy Walsh SUMMERVILLE - Louisa Marcy Walsh, 49, daughter of Norman Sinkler Walsh, MD and Marcy Stoney Walsh, died Sunday, June 28th. The family will receive visitors Friday, July 3, 2009 from 4 until 6 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S Main St, Summerville. A memorial celebration of her life will be held on Sunday July 5th at 2 p.m. at the Gage Hall Annex of The Unitarian Church in Charleston, 4 Archdale St, Charleston. Memorials may be made to CooperRiis Healing Farm, 101 Healing Farm Lane, Mill Spring, NC 28756, or the charity of your choice. Born April 8th, 1960 in Charleston, she was the granddaughter of the late Samuel David Stoney and Louisa Lawrence Dudley Stoney and Joseph Norman Walsh and Cleremonde Gaillard Sinkler Walsh. Louisa graduated from Porter Gaud School, The University of the South in Sewanee, TN and received her MD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. A resident of Philadelphia, PA for the last 15 years, she had a successful career as a Medical Director of Drug Safety for the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical company of Wilmington, DE. Survivors including her parents are one sister, Anne W. Rosebrock of Winter Park, FL; two brothers, William Gaillard Walsh and his wife Terry of Mt. Pleasant, and David Stoney Walsh and his wife Sharon of Charlotte, NC; three nieces, Emily Rosebrock, Melanie Walsh and Cristina Montero; two nephews, Peter Rosebrock and Kevin Walsh; one uncle, David Stoney, Jr. and his wife Andrea.
