WEST BRATTLEBORO -- Joan Dietz Cutler, 57, died early Wednesday morning, May 14, 2003, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was born in Port Washington, N.Y., on May 17, 1945, the daughter of Frank and Agnes Dietz. She is survived by two sons, Wayne F. Lunde of Floral Park, N.Y., and Lance C. Cutler of West Brattleboro; two daughters, Lisa Lunde Johnson of South Newfane and Melanie Williams of Vernon; two sisters, Eleanor Seer of Rio Grande, N.J., and Sandra Morgan of North River; a brother, Frank Dietz of Port Washington; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, C. Thomas Cutler in April 1999, and her parents in 1985 and 1987. Mrs. Cutler worked for the Hinsdale Wal-Mart for 10 years and prior to that she worked for 20 years at Dunham's Footwear. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a past president of the Eagles Brattleboro Chapter Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, mystery novels, bus trips to the casinos and cities and being with friends and family. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 18, at 4 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2445 at 54 Chickering Drive in Brattleboro. A reception will follow immediately after. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society or to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
