William "Wayne" Clark, 87, of rural Perry, KS, died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at his daughter's home in Mt. Pleasant, TX. He was born October 25, 1931 in Horton, KS, the son of Thomas Edward "Ed" and Nellie Lea Bodam Clark. He was a 1951 graduate of Highland Park High School in Topeka. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean war, serving 1951 to 1953. "Wayne" worked and served as shop foreman at the Lawrence Co-Op, retiring in 1995 after 35 years of service. He was a member of V.F.W. and he and his wife, Shirley, enjoyed traveling after his retirement. He married Shirley Ann Meinhardt July 17, 1955 in Topeka, she preceded him in death on September 17, 2003. He is survived by one son, Richard (Alice) Clark, Eudora, two daughters, Pam (Mike) Wagner, Mt. Pleasant, TX, Tammy (Ed "Slim") Brouhard, Perry, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Clark and Thomas "Bud" Clark and three sisters, Juanita Kennedy, Florance Hudson and Marlene Dabney. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Visitation with the family will be one hour before service time, 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorials suggested to Alzheimer's Foundation in care of Barnett Family Funeral Home, P.O.
