Norris Terence "Terry" Turnbull BLOOMFIELD - Norris Terence "Terry" Turnbull, age 84, passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on Jan. 20, 2019. He is survived by his favorite sister, Susan of White Plains, N.Y.; longterm, loving partner, Jean Marshall of Rochester; former wife, Joan Berend of Canandaigua; daughters, Elizabeth "Bess" Walker of Middletown, R.I., and Barbara (Lee) Wildman of Glen Mills, Pa.; son, Douglas (Wendy) Turnbull of Bloomfield; six grandchildren, Michael (Tiara) LaMarca, Christopher (Angie) LaMarca, Paul LaMarca, Sara Turnbull (Steve Lester), Paige (Wesley) Pickering and Jacqueline Walker; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Luke Walker.
 Born on May 21, 1934, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Terry grew up on Grand Island, N.Y. He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Tonawanda High School. After graduation, Terry attended the University of Rochester where he was a member of the swimming team and received a bachelor's degree in industrial management in 1956. He worked for a short time at Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company in Ford City, Pa. Terry also worked at Taylor Instrument Company in Rochester for many years. He and his wife Joan opened Creekside Gun Shop in Holcomb in 1957 and ran it until it closed in 2001. Terry was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed traveling, camping, snorkeling, fishing, hunting, skiing, piloting his airplane and photography. Terry also enjoyed guitar playing, glass blowing, chemistry, gunsmithing and playing euchre.
 Friends may call on Friday, February 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 2 South Ave., Bloomfield. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, at 11 a.m. at West Bloomfield Congregational Church, 9035 Routes 5 and 20, West Bloomfield. Private interment will be in Prospect Lawn Cemetery, Hamburg, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to West Bloomfield Congregational Church, PO Box 5, West Bloomfield, NY 14585.
