VIRGINIA LEE LAVADURE August 14, 1923 ˜ December 27, 2018 Virginia Lee Lavadure, 95, died peacefully at home on Dec. 27, 2018 in Washougal, WA where she lived with her daughter, Sue Latino. She was the first of ten children born to Nelly and Earl Shimer in St. Joseph, MO. In the World War II era, Virginia moved to Van Port and became a welder at the shipyards. She loved outdoors, animals and living in the country. Virginia is survived by her children: Carol Lantz, Ben Gross, Sharon King, Lee Niday, Debbie McGarry and Sue Latino;15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lavadure; sister, Doris King; daughter, Ginny McCorkle; son, Bob Lavadure, Jr.; and brother, Babe Shimer.
