Robert Eugene "Bob" Block
ROBERT EUGENE BLOCK August 25, 1932 ~ March 24, 2016 Robert Eugene Block, 83, of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 24, 2016. He was born in Monticello, MN on Aug. 25, 1932. Bob served in the Navy in the Korean War, 1950-1954. He and Jeanette (Heinrich) were married for 24 years. Bob was a policeman in Clark County and an equipment operating engineer. He worked various jobs into his 80's. Bob is survived by his loving companion, Betty Nordness; his daughters, Joni Warren (Rob Feree) and Judy (Mike) Stewart; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Block. Services with military honors will be held April 7, 2016, 1:30 p.m. at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4p.m. at the Korner Street Bar and Grill, Vancouver, WA. Please sign his guest book at: www.columbian.com/obits .
