Christopher L. Hawke MOORE TOWNSHIP Christopher L. Hawke, 31, of Moore Township, passed away at home on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of Joi A. (Zimmerman) Adams and her husband, Chuck, of Moore Township, and Lawrence E. "Larry" Hawke Jr. and his wife, Joanne, of Berkeley Heights, NJ. Christopher attended Southern Lehigh High School before graduating from Northampton High School in 2006. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local No. 455 in Somerville, NJ, and a skilled carpenter by trade. However, his talents extended beyond carpentry. A talented artist, Christopher enjoyed spending his free time painting and proudly displayed his art in local galleries. When he wasn't painting and creating works of art, he could be found writing, which he also enjoyed. Christopher was known for his generosity and kind soul, all of which was evident in his works he so loved to create and build for his loved ones. In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, June (Metz) Zimmerman, with whom he resided; a sister, Shanna Hawke; nephews, Aiden and Rowan; aunts, Cheryl Waits and Dawn Caruthers; uncles; and cousins. Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Paul Zimmerman Jr., and his paternal grandparents, Lawrence Sr. and Joyce (Shallo) Hawke. A memorial service in celebration of Christopher's life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered in memory of Christopher to Freedom House, 2004 Rt. 31, Suite 9, Clinton, NJ 08808, and/or NAMI of Lehigh Valley, 802 W.
