Dallas, Charles E. RAVENA Charles E. Dallas, 69, died Saturday, December 24, 2006 at the Veterans Hospital in Albany. Charles was born in Hudson and had lived in the Ravena area most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. In 1994, Chick retired from Owens Corning after many years of service. Chick was an avid sports fan, loved animals and enjoyed music. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Johnson Dallas of Ravena; daughters, Tayyo Duncan and Tamiko Buttiker; stepchildren, Sylvia Marrott, Julie Eck and Kathy Spencer; siblings, Muriel Dallas and John Dallas; half-siblings, Virginia Nibgeral, Goldie Simmons, Nancy Fingar and Gwendolyn Ingraham; aunt, Mary Thatcher; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 29 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will follow in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 to 11 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Charles may be made to the American Cancer Society.
