WILLIAMSBURG - Kenneth C. Morrell, 74, passed away on Friday, Nov. 5, 2004. He was a native of Hawthorne, N.J., and has been a Williamsburg resident for the past 22 years. His Air Force career of 21 years included being a veteran of the Korean Conflict and serving in the area of counter intelligence during the Cold War years. He retired in 1995 from Suntrust Bank. Preceding him in rest are his parents, Mary and Milton Morrell Sr.; brother, Milton Morrell Jr.; and grandson, Sean Comfort. Surviving members of his family include his wife of 52 years, Patricia J. Morrell; children, Bruce W. Morrell and wife, Kimberly, of Williamsburg, Joyce M. Ceconi and husband, Bill, of Vienna, and Susan M. Comfort and husband, Duane, of Harrisonburg; 10 grandchildren; brother, Clifford P. Morrell and wife, Dena, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be shown through memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the local chapter of the Salvation Army.
