Richard Slutsker Retired president of Lorstan Studios; devoted husband, father, and grandfather, 87 Richard Slutsker, 87, of Boynton Beach, Fl passed away on May 12, 2021; beloved husband of 60 years of Rosalie; devoted father of David (Rebecca), Karen Sisselman (Steven); adored grandfather of Lara (Jordon), Jaclyn, Benjamin, and Alan; beloved brother of Stephen Slutsker (Lisa). Born in 1934 in Newark, NJ, Richard attended Newark Academy and Union College before marrying the love of his life, Rosalie, in 1960. They built their life together in Livingston, NJ where Richard was a member of B'nai Jeshurun, Green Brook Country Club, and on the board of Newark Academy. Richard was the president of Lorstan Studios, a photography business started by his father in 1926 for 30 years. In 2004, Richard and Rosalie retired to Boynton Beach, and spent their time traveling, playing golf, and visiting their dear family and friends. Richard enjoyed reading, following current events, and sports. He was a lifelong New York Giants fan, and loved watching boxing as well. Above, all else, he was the most devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the definition of a true gentleman - one who cared deeply about his family, his close friends, his business, and his country. He was a passionate and vivid storyteller, and loved to relay stories from his childhood, college days, and early years in Livingston. The family is holding a private funeral. Memorial contributions can be made in Richard's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
