John A. Rossi November 14, 1934 - May 9, 2021 John A. Rossi, 86, formerly of East Brunswick, NJ, and a current resident of Hazleton, PA, died Sunday morning at Mountain City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Hazle Township. Born in Sheppton, PA on November 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Ester (Fellin) Rossi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Rossi; and his sister Jean Marie Propst. John worked in the construction industry until retiring in the late 1990s. Upon retiring, he and his wife Helen moved to Wilmington, NC for 13 years, and then they returned back to Hazleton, PA. He was a devoted husband and father. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a member of Most Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Shostak, to whom he had been married for the last 64 years; his daughter Kelli (Rossi) Miller and her husband Vance; his grandchildren Liam and Lauren Miller; and his sister Rita Massage. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Most Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton.
