Obituary Troy Darren Hunter, 55 Troy Darren Hunter, 55, died May 6, 2021 in Idaho Falls at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) surrounded by family. He was born January 12, 1966 to Linda Mae Widdison Hunter and Kesl Ray Hunter in Rexburg, Idaho at Bingham Memorial Hospital. On August 13 th , 1988, he married Jeanie McCabe in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They had three children – Lindsey Jean Hunter Burnett, Dallen Troy Hunter and Madison Mae Hunter. He was a nurse practitioner. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a 2 year mission in Taipei, Taiwan. He earned a Master’s degree from University of Utah in nursing, an under graduate degree in organ performance from Utah State University and a Scrub Tech degree from Salt Lake Community College. He loved music and was chosen to play the Tabernacle Organ in the Tabernacle Organ Summer Series in Salt Lake City Utah. He performed with his son in many choirs including the Sterling Singers and Because We Sing. He enjoyed crafts and sewing, including quilts for loved ones. He was frequently found in the kitchen baking and cooking. One of his joys was bringing together family or friends for Sunday dinner. Troy loved taking road trips and traveling. Troy is survived by his parents, siblings – Monte Ray Hunter, Kory Glen Hunter, and Kezlynn Hunter; three children – Lindsey, Dallen and Maddison; and two grandchildren – Declan Jared Burnett (5 years old) and Hunter Andrew Burnett (1 year old). A viewing will be held at 1 pm on Monday May 10 th at Hawker Funeral Home (132 S Shilling Ave, Blackfoot, ID 83221) followed by the funeral at 2 pm. A gathering of family and friends will take place after. He will be cremated later in the day.
