Harriet Loie (Brush) Snyder Feb. 4, 1923 - April 21, 2021 Harriet was born in Dupree, S.D. Feb. 4, 1923. Her family moved to Oregon during the Dust Bowl. She married Carvel Snyder Sept. 26, 1942. They had a farm in Sherwood, where they raised their daughter and three sons before moving to Tualatin in 1980. Harriet worked for Washington Co. as Central Services Supervisor, she retired in 1984 after nearly 22 years of service. Carvel passed away Nov. 26, 1985. Harriet enjoyed baking, gardening, quilting, travel, spending time with family, and chocolate. She passed away peacefully after breakfast Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Sofia's Home, the adult foster care where she resided in Wilsonville. Harriet is survived by her loving children, Dennis Snyder of Warren, Ore., Susan Lively of Tualatin, Ore., Delmer Snyder of Lyons, Ore., and Daniel Snyder of Wilsonville, Ore.; her sister, Roberta Santos of Merced, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Florence Brush; her husband, Carvel Snyder; brothers, Douglas Brush, Melvin Brush, Donald Brush; and her sister, Dorothy Coe. Her Funeral will be held for the family Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
