Graveside services for Deana Sue Goodwin, 80, of Tyler, will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Philip Wheeless officiating, under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Deana passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances. She was born October 22, 1940 in Chandler to Alvah (Bill) and Pearl Childress. Deana was a homemaker and liked to crochet doll dresses, afghans, hand towels and dishcloths. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Edna Payne and uncle, Joe "Stant" Hickman. Deana is survived by her husband, Johnny Guy Goodwin; sons, Cliff Goodwin and wife Laura and Larry Goodwin and wife Sammie; grandchildren, Lisa Goodwin Oppen, Marc Oppen, J. L. Goodwin, Haley Rose, Jerry James Goodwin, Gracie, Kylee, and Myles; brother Billy Ray Childress and his wife Kathy and favorite niece, Amy Childress.
