Graveside services for JD Osborn, 76, of Tyler, will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Dudley Brookshire officiating, under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.JD passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital after complications stemming from open heart surgery.JD was born February 18, 1945, in Longview, Texas. After graduation from Stephen F. Austin University, JD was a prominent figure in the newspaper industry from 1967 until his retirement in 2009 having worked in Longview and Tyler. Mr. Osborn was preceded in death by his mother, Sybil, and his son, Lee.JD is survived by his wife, Sherry Acker Osborn, and his son, Brent Osborn, and grandson, Christopher Osborn.If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. .
