Julia Kilgo July 30, 1936 - March 8, 2021 Mountain Home, Idaho - Obituary: Julia Veronica "Roni" Kilgo We celebrate our beloved Mother Julia Veronica "Roni" Kilgo, wife of Hank Kilgo, and mother of Chantal, Michael, and John. Roni was born to John and Mary Kelly on July 30, 1936 in County Kildare, Ireland and was the fifth youngest of eleven brothers and sisters. Roni is survived by her brothers Mike and Joe and her sister Lucy. Roni moved from county Kildare to Moate in county Galway and later the UK in her youth to care for her sister Lilly's children while Lilly ran her family business. Roni's generosity was legendary and her love for children was second to none. Roni met the LOVE OF HER LIFE Hank Kilgo in England and they married in 1961. The Kilgos, a military family, traveled the world with stops in England, Spain, New Mexico, and California before settling in Idaho in 1971. Roni cherished her Mountain Home friends and community the rest of her life. Roni was a committed and devote Catholic dedicating her life to Christ and was highly involved in her church community. Roni shared most holidays and special occasions with her parish priests with special acknowledgment to Father Hallissey and Father O'Sullivan who proceeded her in death. Roni and Hank are a Match Made in Heaven and wonderfully complement each other as they generously shared their home, dinner table, loving spirit, and welcoming heart with everyone they met. Family and friends recall great meals, warm hugs, and big laughs fueled by Roni's Irish Charm. Roni left her loving touch on her three grandchildren Brian Kelly, Helen Kilgo, Olivia Samms and her great grandchildren Grayson and Easton. They will forever cherish their special times with their Nana. Roni was fiercely passionate and loyal to her Irish heritage and loved reading papers and magazines of home. Roni revisited Ireland with her daughter and would have loved nothing more than a return in her waning years. Everyone loved Roni's smiling Irish Eyes and how easily she told a great story and shared her laughter and passion for Ireland. "May the Irish hills caress you, May her lakes and rivers bless you, May the luck of the Irish enfold you, May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you" Roni Kilgo, an amazing and wonderful wife, mother, and friend is missed and revered by all that knew her. May God Bless and hold Roni in his arms until we are together again in our eternal life.
