Markus, Nancy 6/4/1964 - 2/20/2021 Kalamazoo Age 56, died on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born on June 4, 1964 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Robert and Janet Markus and graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1982 where she was in the school band. Nancy received her Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and has worked at Perrigo since 2007. Though she never had any children of her own she was extremely close to her nieces and nephews and kept in contact with her large extended family. She attended Calvary Bible Church. Her family would describe her as a very caring, loving, and a generous person with her time in helping others. Members of her family include her brothers and sister: Bob (Jillonne) Markus of Maumee, OH, Joe (Diane) Markus of Burr Oak, Mike (Suzanne) Markus of Texas, Barbara (David) Gerhard of Portage and Greg (Penny) Markus of Racine, WI; and 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visit with family and friends on Thursday (FEB 25) from 4-7PM at the Betzler & Thompson Life Story Funeral Home, 60900 M-40 Hwy; Paw Paw (269) 657-3870. Private service will be live streamed at 11 AM Friday (FEB 26) and a Memorial Mass will be held on Friday (FEB 26) at 1:30 PM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1150 Centre Ave., Portage. Nancy will be buried next to her parents at the St. Mary Cemetery.
