Scott Carter
Services for Scott Carter, 35, of Tyler, TX, will be held on Tuesday, 9/15/20, at 10:00 a.m., at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit with Pastor Marty Boddie officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery in Tyler, TX under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Scott passed away on Thursday, 9/10/20 in Tyler, TX Scott was born October 1, 1984 in Longview, TX to Allen & Denise Carter. Scott & Jessica married in 2004 in Jefferson, TX. When they first met they hated each other! But they soon started to grow on one another.  They are blessed with two beautiful children, Leah, and shade. Scott had many hobbies, so many in fact that Jessica had to get a job at the Harley shop to fund his hobbies. He loved hunting with Leah, and Shade, and taking Shade to the skate park and he loved playing video games with Leah.  He loved to fish with his friends and family. He enjoyed his animals, deep sea fishing trip, and looked forward to reeling in black tip sharks with his kids.  He wanted to see the look on their faces when they reeled them in. But what he enjoyed the most is riding his Harley while Jessica tried to keep up with him on hers.  He was a dedicated father, husband, son, brother and friend.  He was the pure example of a true family man that cared and loved with his whole heart. As good a father that he was, he still had his faults,  like taking a towel and popping the cap off of a 2 liter bottle spilling in onto Shades MacBook! Needless to say Shade was happy he didn’t have school for a week and the MacBook was not salvageable. Scott worked in the oil and gas industry almost 20 years and made many friends over the years.  He encouraged others to strive for excellence daily.  He lived his life to the fullest never looking back. No Regrets! Scott was preceded in death by Grandparents Don & Ruby Hawthorne, and Morris & Fannie Carter. Scott is survived by Wife Jessica Carter, Children Leah, and Shade Carter, Parents Allen & Denise Carter, Sister Kellie Jordan, and many other loving family members.  Pallbearers will be Randy Carter, Chance Olson, Julio Villanueva, Logan Smith, Jeremy Jackson, Shane Aulds. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Leonard, Dane Emanis, Jay Williams, Joel Still, Chris Bridges, Robbey Simmons. Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. If desired, memorials may be made to www.gofundme.com   In Loving Memory of Scott Carter.
