Linda Aldeene Payne September 9, 1942 - May 13, 2020 EDMOND, OK Linda Aldeene Payne, mother of many, went to be with Jesus early Wednesday morn-ing, May 13th, 2020. Aldeene was born on Septem-ber 9th, 1942, to Alford and Geraldine Voyles in Okemah, Oklahoma. She grew up there and attended Okemah High School until her wedding to Robert K. Payne on August 20th, 1958. The young couple then moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where Aldeene graduated from Stillwater High School in May of 1960. They later moved to Fort Lewis, Washington, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky, during their military career. Eventually moving back to Okemah, Bob and Aldeene opened the Cotton Gin Restaurant. After divorcing in 1975, Aldeene continued on with her career as a restaurant manager and sales manager for several restaurants and companies. She owned and operated Turn Key Cleaning Services and nannied for several families in the OKC/Edmond area. Aldeene loved OU football and attended several National Championship games. She also loved Yankee baseball and attending the World Series. She was a hard-working and loving mother, grandmother, great-grand- mother and aunt. She never met a stranger and, as a result, had many life-long friends and was a mother figure to many of them (mother of many). She is preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Voyles, her father, Alford Voyles, and her sister, LaCretia Vaughn. Loved ones who will miss her dearly are her children, Rob Payne, Bill Payne, Delissa Payne, and Leesha and Freddie Crowson. Her grandchildren, Victoria Williamson, Nicole Payne, Brittany Payne, Blake Payne, Kyle Payne, Marissa Crowson, Nathan and Kaylee Crowson, and Jacob Crowson. Her great-grandchildren, Venice Dixon, Rylan Payne, Madison Clark, and Sasha Clark. Her cousin Rhonda Kay Davis. Her nieces and nephews, Kent, Bayleigh, Chalyn and Jared Head and Jessica, Justin, and Jasmine Goodart. The celebration service has yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a donation to your local food bank or animal shelter in Aldeene's memory.
