Betty Jane Kashner Betty Jane Kashner, 92, formerly of Milton for 23 years, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Brandywine Nursing Center in Wilmington. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, November 16, 1927, the daughter of John Ziegler and Lucille Capko. After graduating William Penn High School in Harrisburg, PA, she met her husband Wellington (Kash). After their marriage, Betty and Wellington moved to Philadelphia, PA, and then to the suburbs of Sharon Hill, PA, where they resided for over 40 years. Betty loved the beach and swimming. She loved singing and listening to music. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and den mother to Cub/Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She lit up a room with her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. She was very kind, sweet, and a joy to be around. She will always be loved and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wellington (Kash); and grandson, Kyle R. Kashner. She is survived by her five children: Candis Kashner of Wyndmoor, PA; Craig Kashner of Newtown Square, PA; William Kashner (Patricia) of New Castle, DE; Keith Kashner (Jane) of Fort Myers, FL; and Kimberly Kashner of Milton, DE; six grandchildren (Carl; Craig, Jr., and Brittany; Katrina and Zachary; and Keith, Jr. (Kristen) and three great-grandchildren (Kellan, Keagan, and Karys). Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Mrs. Kashner's services are private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. Memorial donations in Betty's name may be made to Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Ste. 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106, or COVID-19 Relief Fund.
