Alberta "Bertie" Cannon
Alberta 'Bertie' Cannon Nov. 17, 1943 - Feb. 6, 2020 Bertie died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020 in her home of 40 years from natural causes. Alberta Lucille Nelson was born in Medford, Ore., Nov. 17, 1943. She graduated from Medford High School. Bertie moved to Portland in 1968. She was a bartender for various establishments in the Portland area over the years with Lotsa Luck Bar and Grill being the most recent. Bertie enjoyed gardening, playing video poker and spending time with family and friends. Bertie is survived by two sisters; one brother; her four children, Perry Chambers, Karen Jones, Michelle Loving and Jonathan Cannon; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Bertie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Cannon; and grandson, Ryan Jones. A celebration of life service will be at 12 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Monarch Hotel & Conference Center, Clackamas, Oregon. Please sign the online guest book at www.oregonlive.com/obits
