Frances Lynn Fritts Colpack
Frances Lynn Fritts Colpack, 79, of Homewood passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred C. Fritts, Sr. and Esther Gibson Fritts; her husband Andrew John Colpack, Sr. to whom she was married for over 51 years, and her sister Judith Fritts Nettles. Born on September 1, 1940, she grew up in Central Park and graduated from West End High School. After being married on September 27, 1958, she moved to Homewood and resided there until her death. She worked for many years at Vulcan Life Insurance Company. Lynn loved to play games, especially bridge, cards games and backgammon and was very competitive. Throughout her life, she belonged to different bridge club groups and enjoyed the many friendships she gained from them. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Merchant (David), her son Johnny Colpack (Tracy) and her daughter Cathy Dakin (Mark ); grandchildren Kyle Colpack, Cameron Colpack, Matthew Merchant and Haley Dakin; her brother Fred Fritts, Jr. (Linda). Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a graveside service and burial on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Gardens.
