Richard "Dick" Toeniskoetter
Toeniskoetter, Richard "Dick" 1931 - 2019 Richard Henry "Dick" Toeniskoetter, age 88, died peacefully at his home in Green Valley, Arizona on June 25, 2019. In his last days he was surrounded by several of his children and other members of his large and loving family. Dick was born on March 21, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri, the fourth of five children to Ralph Henry and Marie Lorraine (Helfert) Toeniskoetter. Dick married Jeanne Frances Krill in 1953; together they raised four sons and two daughters. Dick earned a PhD in Chemistry from Saint Louis University and worked in the chemical industry. After several moves, the family settled in Worthington, Ohio, where Dick retired from Ashland Chemical in 1993. In 2018 Dick moved to Green Valley, Arizona, where he shared a home with his daughter and son-in-law, Marian and Jim Feller. His move to Arizona allowed Dick to live out his last year at home, in the frequent company of his children and grandchildren. Dick's family is grateful to Marian for the loving and excellent care she provided in his last year. Dick is survived by his children David (Jane) of St. Paul, Minnesota; Susan (Dan Petree) of Rancho Santa Fe, California; James (Elise) of Rochester Hills, Michigan; Richard of Evansville, Indiana; Stephen (Judy Manley) of Worthington, Ohio; and Marian Feller (Jim) of Green Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by his brother James Toeniskoetter of St. Louis, Missouri, sister Loraine Schneider of Orlando, Florida, sister-in-law Jacqueline (Lowrance) Toeniskoetter of Phoenix, Arizona, nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife Jeanne (Krill) Toeniskoetter, siblings Arthur Toeniskoetter and a younger sister, and sister-in-law Billie (Smith) Toeniskoetter. Dick designated that his body be donated for medical science. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
